Mexico is a growing market for soybeans and soybean meal, according to the U.S. Soybean Export
Council (USSEC). The United States exported nearly 132 million bushels of soybeans and almost 2.4 million tons of meal (100.6 million bushels) to that country during marketing year 2016.
The U.S. market share for soybeans and meal in Mexico is a dominant 86.9 percent and 91.6 percent,
respectively, according to USSEC.

Mexican soybean and soybeanmeal buyers told Midwest farmers and suppliers in April they will
